What can you do with Styrofoam?
With the recent closure of the Nanaimo Recycling Exchange many islanders are wondering what they can do with their Styrofoam.
Go to the RDN website’s What goes where page, and use their site search bar to search for styrofoam.
This takes you to their page listing all the sites that are currently accepting stryofoam:
- Alpine Disposal and Recycling
- Junction Bottle Depot
- London Drugs (North Town Centre)
- London Drugs (Port Place Nanaimo)
- Parksville Bottle & Recycling Depot
- Qualicum Bottle & Recycling Depot
- Regional Recycling – Nanaimo
- Regional Recycling – South
London Drug stores are only accepting Styrofoam packaging from electronics and appliances purchased from a London Drugs outlet. They are not accepting Styrofoam meat trays.
Due to covered storage limitations GIRO has no plans to accept this material.
