In 2021-22, GIRO plans to build a textile-repurposing "maker-space" building as part of its C2C Textile Recycling Initiative. So far, this experiment with a “circular economy” has received province-wide interest, along with international press coverage.
We have applied for and received two generous grants, but we are fund-raising for the final details of the maker-space building: the purchase of specialized equipment and industrial furniture.
You can help. Please consider either a one-time gift or a regular monthly donation that helps us make this project and others like it a success.
Using the Canada Helps website is a secure and simple way to donate online, and they will issue your tax receipt immediately for a one-time donation. Tax receipts are issued annually for monthly donations. You can also donate securities. All donations may be anonymous if you wish.
